Italy's crude steel output down 10.4 percent in September

In September this year, Italian crude steel output decreased by 10.4 percent year on year to 2.130 million metric tons, according to the figures released by Italian steel producers' association Federacciai. September is the 18th month in a row in which a year-on-year fall in output has been witnessed. In August this year, a 7.5 percent year-on-year decline had been observed in Italian crude steel production.

 

In the January-September period of the current year, total Italian crude steel output amounted to 17.997 million mt, down 13.6 percent compared to the same period of 2012.
