Italian new car registrations decline in March

According to the Italian automotive industry association (Anfia), Italy's new car registrations amounted to 138,137 units in March, down 26.72 percent year on year. In the first three months of the current year, new registrations were down 20.9 percent year on year to 406,907 units.

"For the fourth month in a row, the Italian auto market showed a double-digit regression [in March], taking us back to the levels of March 1980," commented Anfia managing director Guido Rossignoli.
