Italian manufacturing confidence index down slightly in Oct from Sept

The seasonally adjusted confidence index for the Italian manufacturing sector declined to 87.6 in October falling by 0.79 percent from September, according to Istat, Italy's national statistics office. Production expectations improved, while assessments on order books worsened slightly.

In October as compared to September, the confidence index rose from 90.6 to 91.9 for consumer goods, while it decreased from 86.8 to 85.5 for instrumental goods and fell from 87.3 to 86.6 for intermediate goods.
