Italian industrial production sales price index rises 4.5 percent in May

In May this year, the industrial production sales price index in Italy rose by 0.1 percent compared to April and by 4.5 percent year on year.

The price index of industrial products sold in the local market decreased by 0.2 percent month on month and increased by 4.8 percent year on year, while the price index of products sold in foreign markets grew by 0.2 percent compared to April (0.1 percent in the euro area and 0.3 percent outside the euro area) and by 3.7 percent year on year (4.2 percent in the euro area and 3.3 percent outside the euro area).

The coke and oil sector showed the steepest increase in industrial production prices, as the local and foreign sale prices indexes rose respectively by 13 percent and 22.4 percent year on year.
