Italian automotive market sees positive sales in April

The Italian automotive market has given off reassuring signals for the month of April. Total registrations of new vehicles reached 205,442 during the month in question, a rise of 9.56 percent compared to the same month last year. Of this figure, Italian automotive manufacturer Fiat accounted for a 32.3 percent share.

For the January-April 2007 period, total sales of new vehicles in Italy came to 940,046 units, up 5.43 percent year on year.
