Israel’s unemployment rate below 10%

Israel's unemployment rate fell to 9.9% in January 2005, the Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) said, marking the first time since October 2000 that the unemployment rate was below 10%. The number of unemployed fell from 268'400 people in December 2004 to 265'700 people in January 2005. In addition, the unemployment rate is expected to fall below 9% by the end of this year.
