Ispat Annaba struggling with production difficulties

Ispat Annaba, Ispat's investment of carbon steel plant operating in Algeria, is going through some production difficulties, SteelOrbis is told. Although the steel mill is revamped last year, according to reports it is still a problem to produce any hot rolled coil below 3.2mm as planned. It apprears this situation might become belaguering for Ispat as the production also has to go through cutoffs due to power shortages. Yet it normally takes a restructed mill to get the production in line with the desired quality around a year, this situation is considered as a part of the process.
