ISG to increase production of coated products

According to recent news in the market, Ohio-based steel producer International Steel Group (ISG) is planning to increase production of coated steel products at its subsidiary ISG Weirton Inc to meet surging demand for the subject products. Accordingly, ISG will restart a second blast furnace at Weirton, which will produce about 2'200 tons of iron per day. Moreover, ISG will invest $2.5 million in Weirton to repair its No.4 blast furnace and upgrade the continuous slab caster of the plant.
