Iron ore inventory indicates decline at major Chinese ports

As of June 21, total iron ore inventory at 30 major Chinese ports came to 95.86 million mt, down 600,000 mt week on week, again dropping below the level of 96 million mt, as reported by the China Mining website.

During the week ending June 21, Indian iron ore supplies to China decreased significantly, down by 850,000 mt week on week. Meanwhile, in the given week a slight increase was seen in arrivals of ex-Brazil and ex-Australia iron ore cargos at Chinese ports, up by 150,000 mt and 160,000 mt week on week, respectively.
