Iran’s steel output to reach 10 million tons

Iran's steel output is expected to hit 10 million tons by the end of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2005). Iron and steel exports rose 10% year-on-year over the past 10 months of the current year. The country's steel exports amounted to more than $400 million last year, and this figure is projected to reach $800 million this year. It is also indicated that exports of the metal industries reached $48.6 million in the past 10 months, up 8.2% year-on-year.
