Iranian steel producer Seven Diamond Industries has lately started to supply cold rolled coil to the local market in Iran. While the steelmaker commissioned its cold rolling mill last year, up until recently the cold rolled output was only used to feed the company's galvanizing line.

Located in Qazvin city 120 km west of Tehran, Seven Diamond Industries has a galvanizing mill with an annual capacity of 100,000 mt. The producer's newly commissioned cold rolling line is capable of producing 0.3-1.5 mm cold rolled coils with a capacity of 300,000 mt per year.

The cold rolling line in question which was installed in 2007 constitutes the first phase of a two-phase plan to achieve an annual cold rolled coil capacity of 800,000 mt.

According to company's web site, Seven Diamond is capable of producing HDG sheet with a thickness range of 0.4-1.25 mm, cold rolled and annealed coil with a thickness range of 0.13-2 mm, cut-to-length sheet of 0.2-1.5 thickness and pickled hot rolled coils of 1.5-4 mm thickness.
