Iranian steel producer Mobarakeh Steel Company has announced that in the first three months to June 21 of the financial year 2016-17 its steel shipments to the local market increased by 91 percent year on year to 1.66 million mt. In the same period, the company’s hot rolled product sales accounted for around 66 percent of total sales, while cold rolled and pickled products accounted for 29 percent and coated products, including tin-coated, galvanized and color-coated items, accounted for five percent of the company’s total sales.

Mobarakeh Steel’s deputy director for sales and marketing Mahmoud Akbari stated that the considerable rise in sales as well as in orders from its customers in the given period comes on the back of a relative increase in demand in the market and is in line with the company’s policy to meet the needs of the local market maximally.
