Iranian private sector steelmaker Foolad Alborz Takestan last week commissioned its second rolling mill, which has a designed capacity of 400,000 mt per year. The new mill, located near the city of Takestan about 170 km west of Tehran, is capable of rolling rebar and plain round bar in diameters of 8-32 mm.

Foolad Alborz Takestan's first rolling mill, which was commissioned a couple of years ago, has a capacity about 200,000 mt per year. Furthermore, the producer has also commenced the construction of another rolling mill with a planned capacity of 300,000 mt per year, which will produce I-beams and H-beams.
