"The Chaharmahal Bakhtiari Auto Sheet plant is in cold commissioning stage at present and will be put into operation in the coming month of September," company managing director Hossein Mardani has stated in an interview published by IMIDRO (Iranian mines and mining industries development and renovation organization).

The new Chaharmahal Bakhtiari plant will be the first producer of galvanized sheet for the auto industry in the Persian Gulf region. The plant, located about 45 km southwest of Mobarakeh Steel Co. near Esfahan city, has a designed annual capacity of 400,000 mt of hot dip galvanized sheet.

Estimated investment in the project stands at €115.5 million. About €100 million of this figure has been provided by a French bank, with the balance supplied by the Iranian government.
