Iranian steelmaker Khouzestan Oxin Steel produces 66,500 mt of plate

Iranian steelmaker Khouzestan Oxin Steel produced 66,500 mt of plate in the last Iranian year (ended March 20) which was the first year of its operation, according to the newly published figures from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
 
Khouzestan Oxin Steel, which has an annual rolling capacity of 1.05 million mt, is the only rolling mill in the Middle East capable of rolling wide plates up to widths of 4,500 mm. The mill, which is located close to the southwestern Iranian city of Ahwaz near the Persian Gulf, was put into operation in May 2009.
