Iranian crude steel output up to 8.77 million mt in Jan-Aug

According to the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI), in the first eight months of 2011, Iranian crude steel production rose by 13.1 percent year on year to 8.77 million mt.

IISI expects that  Iran's annual production capacity of crude steel will increase from the current 19 million mt to 42 million mt by 2016
