As part of this project, new equipment which has been ordered from Czech companies PTS Josef and Prestar is to be installed at the plant.

Interpipe's Director for Production and Investments, Mr. Andrey Korotkov, commented, "This step in our investment program gives Interpipe new capability to produce 88.9 mm pipes as well as pipes of higher durability with a broader range of applications".

Upon the completion of the project, the total production capacity of tubes with upset ends at the Niko Tube facility will be 62,000 metric tons per year.
