Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has announced that it has produced the first order of railways wheels for Bulgarian Railways at its new production site for finish-machining of railway wheels, which was commissioned in October this year. The total volume of the supply is 240 wheels. The railway wheels have been manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the European EN 13262 standard.

Interpipe has invested $16.2 million in the development of its railway product manufacturing facilities. One of the program stages involves launching the new line for finishing operations to produce railway wheels for modern passenger and high-speed rail. The new capacity enables the company to manufacture complex products, requiring additional high-precision operations as drilling, boring, and also painting.
