The Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe Corporation has announced that its subsidiary Interpipe NMPP has successfully passed an audit in accordance with the demands of American Petroleum Institute (API) Q1 ‘Program specifications on providing quality in chemical, petrochemical, and gas industries' and API 5L ‘Technical demands for line pipes' standards, in order to renew its license for the right to use the API monogram on its products.

"Interpipe for many years has cooperated with the American Petroleum Institute in product certification. In 1995 Interpipe NMPP received the license to apply the API monogram on its products. At the moment, all Interpipe mills are certificated in accordance with the demands of the API 5L standard. The constant renewal of the license enables us to get an independent view of international auditors on the condition of our quality management system, revealing new ways to improve processes at our industrial enterprises," said Fadi Hraibi, director for product and resource management at Interpipe.
