Industrial production growth of CIS countries

According to the data released by Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS, the overall industrial production of the CIS countries increased 9% month on month in March. The figure is 10% higher than the figure of March 2004. Through the first quarter of 2005, Belarus saw the highest industrial production growth with 11.6% year on year. Azerbaijan was second with 10.3%. Tajikistan's production grew 8.2% year on year while Kazakhstan's industrial production grew 7.4%. Georgia and Ukraine saw 7.1% growth in their industrial productions. Russia ranked only the eighth with 3.9% growth. Kyrgyzstan has been the only CIS country which saw a narrowing down in industrial production with 4.7% decline.
