India's infrastructure growth down

Steep slowdown in electricity generation as well as steel and cement production pulled down the overall infrastructure growth in India to 6.2 percent during June. Coal production rose 11.9 percent in June 2006 compared to 3.4 percent in June 2005. However, steel production slowed down to 5.6 percent in June 2006.
