India’s industrial production growth accelerates again in July

India's monthly industrial production in July this year rose by 13.8 percent year on year, accelerating again following a revised single-digit growth rate of 5.8 percent registered in June, after eight consecutive months in which double-digit rises in industrial output were recorded.
 
Among the various industrial sectors, in July metal products and parts, excluding machinery and equipment, showed a growth of 14.8 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, industrial production in India's basic metal and alloy industry in July improved by 4.6 percent as compared to July 2009.
