Indian Steel Ministry considers restriction on iron ore exports

Indian sources report that Ram Vilas Paswan, India's Steel Minister, has recommended restricting high-grade iron ore exports to China due to the strong domestic demand for the subject raw material. Ram Vilas Paswan, India's Steel Minister, has reportedly recommended restricting high-grade iron ore exports to China due to the strong domestic demand for iron ore. Sources report that, the Minister has also suggested lowering iron ore supplies to South Korea and Japan. Minister's recommendations are reportedly subject to the approval of the Cabinet.
