The Indian government has initiated an antidumping (AD) investigation into hot rolled flat products of stainless steel of ASTM Grade 304 from the EU, South Korea, South Africa, Taiwan and the US, the Indian press has reported.
JSL Ltd (formerly known as Jindal Stainless) had applied for the initiation of the investigation, claiming that the dumping was causing injury to the domestic industry, reports said, adding that the Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD), under the Commerce and Industry Ministry, is conducting the probe.
The subject goods are classified under chapter headings 7219.11, 7219.12, 7219.13, 7219.14, 7219.21, 7219.22, 7219.23, 7219.24, 7220.11 and 7220.12 of the Customs Tariff Act.
