India’s Directorate General for Antidumping and Allied Duties (DGAD) has recommended provisional antidumping duties on imports of seamless tubes, pipes, hollow profiles of iron, alloy and non-alloy other than cast iron and stainless steel from China, a senior government official said on Monday, April 4.

The government official said that DGAD recommended an antidumping duty ranging between $961.33 to $ 1,610.67 per metric ton depending on various grades of these products imported from China.

The official said that the recommendations for imposing the duty were forwarded to the revenue department under the Ministry of Finance for formal notification.

The antidumping duty will initially be levied on a “provisional “ basis and a final decision on extending it for a period of five years will be taken after all stakeholders submit their feedback on the duty to the DGAD, the official added.
