The Indian government is mulling the imposition of antidumping (AD) duty on 19 steel products to protect the domestic steel industry from cheap imports, according to media reports. The mentioned 19 steel products are mainly color-coated products and subject to the minimum import price (MIP) regime until February 4.

Aruna Sharma, secretary of India’s Ministry of Steel, said that an antidumping duty investigation is already in process regarding these 19 products, according to media reports in India.
