Illinois-based New Star Metals acquires Canfield Metal Coating Corp.

Burr Ridge, Illinois-based New Star Metals announced Monday that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Canfield, Ohio-based Canfield Metal Coating Corporation (CMC),  a provider of galvanized and painted coils to companies in the packaging, automotive, and construction industries. New Star is a provider of steel processing, building processing and supply chain management to a variety of end markets.

Pat Murley, CEO of New Star Metals, commented, "We are excited to bring Canfield Metal Coating onto the New Star Metals team. Canfield complements the capabilities we have at our Electric Coating Technologies division and in the coming months we will be working hard to implement the best practices from both companies. The company will be named Canfield Coating LLC and it will operate as a separate business unit led by current CMC President Ron Jandrokovic."
