Hunan Valin Steel’s operating revenue down 25.5 percent in 2015

Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Co. (Hunan Valin Steel) has announced in its annual report for 2015 that in 2015 it registered an operating revenue of RMB 41.406 billion ($6.41 billion), down 25.53 percent year on year, with a net loss of RMB 2.959 billion ($0.46 billion) compared to the net profit of RMB 74.6343 million recorded in 2014.

In 2015, Hunan Valin Steel produced 14.48 million mt of pig iron, 14.87 million mt of crude steel and 14.16 million mt of finished steel, while at the start of the year it had planned to produce 15.50 million mt of pig iron, 16.46 million mt of crude steel and 15.62 million mt of finished steel.
