Hunan Valin Steel posts a profit for H1

In its financial report for the first half of the current year issued on August 8, Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Co. (Hunan Valin Steel) announced that it recorded a net profit of RMB 19.01 million ($3.08 million) for the given period. During the same period last year, the company had registered a net loss of RMB 383.4742 million. 

In the first half this year, Hunan Valin Steel achieved an operating revenue of RMB 29.09 billion ($4.71 billion), up 2.8 percent year on year.
