Hunan Valin Steel Group sees H1 net loss surge to RMB 1.3 billion

On August 30, Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hunan Valin Iron and Steel Group Co. issued its financial results for the first half of this year.

In the given period, Hunan Valin Iron and Steel Group achieved an operating revenue of RMB 32.262 billion ($5.1 billion), down 14.87 percent on year-on-year basis. Meanwhile, in the first half, the company saw its net loss soar to RMB 1.305 billion ($206 million), compared to a net loss of RMB 220 million in the same period last year.
