Honda ups vehicle production in February

Japan's third-largest automaker, Honda Motor Co., disclosed that due to rising demand it increased global vehicle production 11% year on year in February 2005 to 280'536 units. The company's overseas production rose 11% to 165'960 units in February, while domestic output increased 9.4% to 114'576 units. Honda aims to expand its production capacity in China, where it holds a 5% market share. The company is also building more factories overseas so that it can deliver vehicles to customers in a more timely fashion.
