Hindustan Zinc increases prices

India's leading zinc producer Hindustan Zinc Ltd increased its zinc prices yesterday. The zinc sales prices of the company increased by Rupees 1,300/mt ($29) effective from January 2, 2006. The new high grade zinc sales price of the company reached Rupees 107,300/mt ($2,384) with the increase. Hindustan Zinc is an affiliate of Vedanta Resources PLC.
