Hebei sees increased iron ore import volume in Jan-May

According to Entry and Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of China's Hebei Province, in the January-May period of the current year the province imported 38.85 million mt of iron ore, with a value of $5.33 billion. The import volume was up seven percent, while the import value was down 7.6 percent, both year on year.

On the other hand, in the first five months the province of Hebei exported 2.937 million of finished steel, up 30.7 percent year on year, with the value of finished steel exports for the period totaling $2.37 billion, up 26.6 percent year on year.
