Hanzhong Steel commissions converter No. 2

The new 120 mt converter No. 2 of Chinese steelmaker Hanzhong Iron and Steel Company (Hanzhong Steel), a subsidiary of Shaanxi Province-based Shaanxi Steel Group, has been put into production, as reported by Chinese media sources.

Accordingly, Hanzhong Steel's overall converter project, on which construction was carried out by China 20th Metallurgical Group, has been fully completed and put into operation. The 120 mt converter No. 1 was commissioned at the end of December last year. The total output capacity of the project is 3 million mt of crude steel per year.
