Hansteel to deliver 30,000 mt of X52 pipeline steel to Xinjiang project

Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel), a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced that it has inked a contract for the supply of 30,000 mt of X52 grade pipeline steel to the South Xinjiang Natural Gas Pipeline project of China's biggest oil producer PetroChina.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the contract in question is just for initial work, and that there will be additional demand from the gas project for 70,000 mt of low and medium grade pipeline steel products.
