Hansteel supplies 40-50 percent of CRS needs of Great Wall Motor

Major Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that its subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel) has inked a contract for the supply of 3,250 mt of cold rolled sheet (CRS) to Chinese car producer Great Wall Motor Co. in February. At present, Hansteel's cold rolled sheet products account for 40-50 percent of the cold rolled sheet purchases of Great Wall Motors.

The products to be supplied according to the above contract include steel grades DC01-CC, DC03-CC and DC04-CC. Production will be carried out at Hansteel's 2,180 mm cold rolling production line.
