Hansteel produces HCT780X+Z dual-phase steel for galvanizing

Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that its subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Group (Hansteel) has developed production of HCT780X+Z grade dual-phase steel for galvanizing. Initially, Hansteel has produced 203 mt of the product in question at its 2,250 mm hot rolled line.

Dual-phase steel is mainly used in the production of high quality sheet for application in automobile manufacture. It is characterized by high strength, good formability, good fatigue resistance, and high strain rate sensitivity.
