Gross profit of industrial enterprises in Hebei up 21.8% in Jan-Oct

In the January-October period of the current year, the aggregate gross profit of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in China’s Hebei Province amounted to RMB 209.33 billion ($30.38 billion), up 21.8 percent year on year, as announced by Hebei Province’s Bureau of Statistics.

In the January-October period this year, of the 39 industrial sectors surveyed in Hebei Province, 24 registered year-on-year increases in gross profit. In the given period, the coal mining and dressing sector in Hebei Province recorded a gross profit of RMB 140 million ($20.32 million), compared to a net loss of RMB 4.49 billion ($0.65 billion) in the same period of 2015, its first gross profit recorded since 2014. Meanwhile, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling sector in Hebei Province recorded a gross profit of RMB 25.96 billion ($3.77 billion), rising by 250 percent year on year.
