Global pig iron output drops slightly in November

According to the preliminary data released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global pig iron production in November this year came to 83.55 million metric tons, compared to a revised 84.81 million metric tons in the previous month and 80.72 million metric tons in the same month of last year.

Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of 2010 world pig iron output amounted to 942.3 million metric tons, compared to 826.86 million mt in the corresponding period of 2009.
