Germany's motor vehicle output down 42.18 percent in January-July

In July of the current year, new motor vehicle registrations (including passenger cars and commercial vehicles) in the German market totaled 555,670 units, up 56.87 percent month on month and increasing by 85.86 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the January-July period of this year Germany's new motor vehicle registrations increased by 82.86 percent year on year, totaling 3,640,400 units.
 
According to the VDA, in July this year 319,100 motor vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month decrease of 40.9 percent and a year-on-year decrease of 43.13 percent. German motor vehicle output in the first seven months of the current year amounted to 2,098,310 units, showing a 42.18 percent fall from the same period of 2014.
 
In July this year, a total of 431,200 motor vehicles were exported from Germany, up 4.69 percent month on month and increasing by 0,94 percent compared to July 2014. In the first seven months, German motor vehicle exports amounted to 2,803,490 units, increasing by one percent year on year.
