In June this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.4 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for May showed an increase of 0.9 percent compared to April, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
As compared to April, in May this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by 1.3 percent, while the production of capital goods fell by 2.6 percent and output of intermediate goods was down by 0.3 percent. Meanwhile, the production of consumer goods recorded a decrease of 0.2 percent, while energy production increased by 2.3 percent and construction output saw a decrease of 4.5 percent, all month on month.
