Germany’s passenger car production edges down tone percent in October

According to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Germany's passenger car output in October this year dropped by one percent year on year to 501,200 units.

During the month in question, new passenger car registrations in Germany declined by 20 percent year on year to 256,800 units, while passenger car exports rose by three percent year on year reaching 377,800 units.

In the January-October period of 2010, Germany's total passenger car output reached 4,616,900 units, up 12 percent, passenger car exports amounted to 3,514,100 units, up 27 percent, while new registrations decreased by 27 percent to 2,423,700 units, all compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
