Germany's passenger car output up 27,7 percent in February over January

In February this year, new passenger car registrations in the German market totaled 250,300 units, up 14.6 percent month on month and increasing by 12 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first two months of 2016, Germany's new passenger car registrations increased by eight percent year on year, totaling 468,700 units.
 
According to the VDA, in February of the current year 532,800 passenger cars rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month increase of 27.7 percent and a year-on-year decline of six percent. German passenger car output in the first two months of this year amounted to 949,800 units, showing a three percent growth compared to the same period of last year.
 
In February this year, a total of 403,400 passenger cars were exported from Germany, up by 29.5 percent month on month and increasing by five percent compared to January last year. In the first two month of the current year, German passenger car exports amounted to 715,000 units, remaining unchanged year on year.
