Germany’s passenger car output rises again in July

According to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Germany's passenger car output in July this year rose by 18 percent year on year to 462,500 units.
During the month in question, new passenger car registrations in Germany increased by 10 percent year on year to 261,000 units, while passenger car exports rose by 9 percent year on year, increasing to 345,500 units.
In the January-July period of 2011, Germany's total passenger car output reached 3,453,300 units, up six percent, passenger car exports amounted to 2,638,600 units, up six percent, while new registrations increased by 10 percent to 1,883,600 units, all compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
