Germany's new car output up 9.2 percent in Jan-Feb

In February of the current year, new vehicle registrations (including cars and commercial vehicles) in the German market totaled 231,195 units, up by 2.07 month on month and rising by 5.62 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first two months this year Germany's new vehicle registrations increased by 6.22 percent year on year, totaling 457,710 units.
 
According to the VDA, in February this year 493,200 cars rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a year-on-year increase of 7.41 percent. German car output in the first two months of the current year amounted to 935,600 units, showing a 9.20 percent increase from the same period of 2013.
 
In February this year, a total of 379,800 new cars were exported, up 6.90 percent compared to February 2013. In the first two months, German new car exports amounted to 723,200 units, increasing 8.59 percent year on year.
