Germany’s motor vehicle output up 9.25 percent in March

In March of the current year, new motor vehicle registrations (including cars and commercial vehicles) in the German market totaled 323,983 units, up by 40.17 month on month and rising 5.77 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first three months this year Germany's new motor vehicle registrations increased by 6.02 percent year on year, totaling 781,590 units.
 
According to the VDA, in March this year 544,580 motor vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a year-on-year increase of 9.25 percent. German motor vehicle output in the first three months of the current year amounted to 1,548,750 units, showing a 10.94 percent increase from the same period of 2013.
 
In March this year, a total of 415,320 motor vehicles were exported, up 6.69 percent compared to March 2013. In the first three months, German motor vehicle exports amounted to 1,201,650 units, increasing by 10.39 percent year on year.
