Germany's motor vehicle output down 9.6% in October from September

In October of the current year, new motor vehicle registrations (including automobiles and commercial vehicles) in the German market totaled 306,300 units, up 6.7 percent month on month and increasing by 4.3 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the January-October period of this year Germany's new motor vehicle registrations increased by 2.4 percent year on year, totaling 2,793,860 units.
 
According to the VDA, in October this year 500,070 motor vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month decrease of 9.6 percent and a year-on-year increase of 4.2 percent. German automobile output in the first ten months of the current year amounted to 4,975,290 units, showing a 4.1 percent increase from the same period of 2013.
 
In October this year, a total of 383,840 motor vehicles were exported from Germany, down seven percent month on month and increasing by 3.8 percent compared to October 2013. In the first ten months, German motor vehicle exports amounted to 3,813,320 units, increasing by four percent year on year.
