Germany’s industrial output up 2.2 percent in Feb from Jan

In February this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production increased by 2.2 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for January showed an increase of 2.2 percent compared to December, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
 
As compared to January, in February this year production excluding energy and construction increased by 0.9 percent, while the production of capital goods grew by 1.1 percent and output of consumer goods was up by 1.4 percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods increased by 0.4 percent, while energy production rose by 0.6 percent and construction output saw a rise of 13.6 percent, all month on month.
