Germany’s industrial output down 0.5 percent in Feb from Jan

In February this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 0.5 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for January showed an increase of 2.3 percent compared to December, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
 
As compared to January, in February this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by 0.5 percent, while the production of capital goods declined by one percent and output of consumer goods was down by one percent. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods increased by 0.1 percent, while energy production decreased by 1.8 percent and construction output saw an increase of 1.3 percent, all month on month.
