Germany’s industrial output down 0.4 percent in March from February

In March this year, seasonally-adjusted industrial production decreased by 0.4 percent in Germany compared to the previous month, while the corrected figure for February showed an increase of 1.8 percent compared to January, according to the provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
 
As compared to February, in March this year production excluding energy and construction decreased by 0.5 percent, while the production of capital goods narrowed by 1.2 percent and output of consumer goods remained stable. Meanwhile, the production of intermediate goods increased by 0.1 percent, while energy production fell by 2.5 percent and construction output saw a rise of 1.5 percent, all month on month.
